About Me
Hi my name is Bushra Rahman, and this blog is a way for me to share my love for travel and cuisine with people around the world.
A little bit about myself –
My parents immigrated from Bangladesh, making me a proud Bangladeshi-American. I grew up in the states and have had the opportunity to live in a couple different cities, including Austin, TX, a small city known as Bentonville, AR, and currently residing in Boston, MA. My passion for travel stemmed from having the opportunity to visit Bangladesh every few years growing up. We were always inspired to see different cultures as we took advantage of international layovers. In addition, visiting Bangladesh allowed me to immerse myself in Bangladeshi culture and cuisine, which brings me to my passion for cuisine.
Witnessing cultural expressions through different spices, agriculture, markets, etc. is another type of love language. Food is a love language and the ingredients are its dialects. I love to cook, try new restaurants, buy all different types of spices, and do all of the things your average foodie loves doing. Cooking for others is how I express my love to those around me and trying new experiences through food is how I develop and grow out of my comfort zone. This upcoming September, I will be participating in a culinary program through Florence Culinary Arts School (FCAS) with the hopes of my opening my own restaurant one day.
Stay updated on my page as I embark on my move to Italy from Boston, MA and go through my culinary journey!
In addition, outside of my full-time job, I am also a part-time yoga instructor so follow me as a write about mindfulness and take a peak at some of my yoga practices
